Jacqueline Teague

Hey! I am Jackie. I’ve been playing music since the fourth grade, I started with the violin and moved to the xylophone when I was fifteen and took up the drums then as well. I am a percussionist, it’s my thing. I love music. I go to school currently for nursing and I graduate next spring from Ocean County College to be a SVU nurse at Carrier Clinic where I will help people for the rest of my life, that is my calling. I have so many musical influences that I don’t know where to start. I think my favorite band is Streetlight Manifesto because I loved marching band so much, and I love Ska. I was raise on classic rock like Marshall Tucker and Charlie Daniels which, was my first concert. My second one was Aerosmith and Fuel. And there were so many more in between I would run out of room on this page. Other huge influential musicians include Morrisey, Bright Eyes, Frank Turner, Conor Oberst, Passenger, Ed Sharp and the Magnetic Zeros, David Bowie, The New York Dolls, The Bouncing Souls, My Chemical Romance, Staind, System of a Down, Jenny Owens Young, and so many more. I own over 300 Cd’s. I have to take time to thank my music educators Mildred Zitt, Mrs. Desmond, and Mr. Tafrow because without them I wouldn’t have the skills I have today. They taught me music appreciation and theory when I was in high school and I wrote my first song when I was sixteen in band class. That’s just a little bit of my story, I live for music and if I can inspire people to become musicians than that is a very good day indeed. 🙂
