Instructor Bio
Sarah Troutman
Miss Troutman went to Temple University for Music Education, instrumental concentration; flute/piccolo. She served as the flute/piccolo Section Leader in the Diamond Marching Band for two years, member for four, played saxophone in Temple’s Collegiate Band, Principal flute/piccolo in Temple’s Symphonic Band, a member of the Temple Choral, and Temple Basketball Band. In high school, Miss Troutman was a member of All South Jersey Band, TCNJ Honors Band and nominated for the American Music Abroad program every summer. Sarah has been teaching privately since 2007; she gives beginner-advanced flute/piccolo lessons and beginner-intermediate sax and piano lessons. Miss Troutman spends her time teaching her studio of sixteen students (varying ages 4-60), directing her founded program, The South Jersey Flute Choir, playing weddings with her flute quartet, Flutes4, freelancing playing many pit orchestras, and operating a summer theater program in Franklinville, NJ. Miss Troutman’s flute students place top in region/honors band auditions every year, also receiving hefty college scholarships for their musical talent. She is extremely dedicated to her students and loves to share her passion of music with others.
