Adelina Astarita

My name is Adelina Astarita. I am an 18 year old cellist pursuing a music career. I am currently about to enter my senior year of high school. I began studying cello at the age of nine, but before I had studied piano since the age of four. I am very passionate about music and cello. I have orchestral, chamber, and solo playing experience, and have studied at colleges during the summer like Carniege Mellon. This year, I was able to study cello in France with a French cellist for a year where I was also made a custom cello. I have a background in music theory as well and have experienced different methods of teaching. I understand what makes learning fun compared for young students as I am quite young myself. I view music as a deeply personal experience and understand that every student is different and learns differently. I am very flexible with how students want to learn, and what they want to learn and want to help students achieve their musical goals while still having fun.
